The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) on Wednesday distributed 500 25kg Bags of Rice to flood victims in Kirikasamma Local Government Area.

The Special Assistant to Governor Umar Namadi Danmodi on Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), Bala Garba, at the flag-off ceremony said the gesture is to cushion the suffering of those affected by the disaster during the recent incessant rainfall season.

He said the relief materials were part of the federal government’s Food Security Program.

In his vote of thanks, the Council Chairman, Muhammad Maji Wakili, commended the state governor for considering the affected people with relief materials.
