The Chairman of Nassarawa Local Government Area and Deputy ALGON Chairman for Kano Central, Ambassador Hon. Yusuf Shuaibu Imam (Ogan Boye), has commissioned seven new infrastructural projects across Tudun Wada and Gama Wards, further demonstrating his administration’s commitment to grassroots development.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Ambassador Ogan Boye called on residents of Tudun Wada, Gama, and other parts of Nassarawa LGA to take advantage of the ongoing voter registration exercise at INEC offices.
He particularly urged young people who have recently turned 18, as well as those who have lost or damaged their voter cards, to ensure they register and participate fully in democratic processes.
The council chairman expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the continued opportunity to serve the people of Nassarawa and reiterated his administration’s resolve to deliver projects that positively impact the lives of residents.
The event was attended by key officials, including the Secretary of the Local Government, Hon. Muhammad Hotoro Mai Kaba; the Leader of the Council, Hon. Musa Jibo; elected and supervisory councillors; local government advisers; the Head of Works and Housing Department; the Chief Personnel Officer; and engineers from the Works Department.
The commissioned projects include:
- Construction of drainage, ring culvert, and laterite fillings at Science and Technical Area, Tudun Wada Ward.
- Construction of drainage, ring culvert, and laterite fillings at Layin Sani Mai Takalma, Tudun Wada Ward.
- Construction of drainage, ring culvert, crossing slabs, and laterite fillings at Layin Yahaya Mai-Mai, Tudun Wada Ward.
- Construction of drainage, box culvert, and laterite fillings at Layin Nation, Gama Ward.
- Construction of drainage, box culvert, crossing slabs, and laterite fillings at Layin Mai Unguwa, Gama Ward.
- Construction of drainage, box culvert, crossing slabs, and laterite fillings at Layin Shamwilu K/Takari, Gama Ward.
- Construction of drainage, box culvert, and laterite fillings at Layin Na Madobi, Gama Ward.
The projects are part of the council’s ongoing efforts to improve road networks, enhance drainage systems, and promote environmental safety across the local government area.
