Mbappe And PSG Will Face Off In Court Over Unpaid €55 Million Salaries

Steven

Kylian Mbappe, a striker for Real Madrid, and his old team, PSG, may be going to court after the player turned down attempts at mediation regarding his unpaid salary.

Mbappe and PSG were recommended by an LFP complaints committee to try mediation in order to resolve their ongoing wage issue. Though the France international immediately rejected the proposition, PSG acknowledged that they were “very pleased” with the decision. It appears that a courtroom will soon decide how to end this affair.
Mbappe is suing PSG for unpaid salaries of €55 million ($60.6 million). The amount is equivalent to a signing bonus, three months’ worth of salaries, and an “ethical bonus.” However, the Ligue 1 team refuses to pay the sum since they think they made a verbal arrangement with the attacker to waive the payment. Mbappe’s mother said back in July her son was prepared to sue PSG over the matter.

The AFP was informed by the Frenchman’s entourage that “this morning, the possibility of a mediation was brought up. The player’s counsel denied this idea throughout the meeting. It would be pointless to seek mediation in order to document nonpayment that might be observed by a straightforward review of the player’s payslip.”
Mbappe left PSG in the summer to join Real Madrid, but he might be getting back together with his old team in court. Mbappe will make his La Liga comeback with Los Blancos on Saturday when they travel to Real Sociedad.
