The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has emerged victorious in 15 of the 17 local government chairmanship positions in Plateau State.
The Plateau Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC) organised the elections to elect chairmen and councilors across the state’s 17 Local Government Areas (LGAs).
Announcing the results on Thursday, PLASIEC Chairman Mr. Planji Cishak noted that the outcomes for Pankshin and Langtang-north LGAs were still being finalized.
Cishak confirmed that all declared winners met the legal requirements and were duly elected.
However, he added that the results for councilorship positions would be released at a later time.
