The funeral service for the late Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, has commenced at the National Christian Centre in Abuja.
The Nation reported the Nigerian Air Force plane carrying Lagbaja’s remains arrived at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at 12:15 pm on Thursday.
Present for the service are the wife of President Bola Tinubu, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, senior military personnel from Nigeria and abroad, friends, family members, associates, government officials, and members of the diplomatic corps.
Lagbaja, who was appointed by the President on June 19, 2023, with other Service Chiefs, died on November 5, 2024.
