The Managing Director of the Kano State Housing Corporation, Abdullahi Rabiu, reiterated the Corporation willingness to strengthen ties with Kano State House of Assembly Committee on Housing towards achieving the Corporation goals in housing sector in Kano State.
The MD made this known while receiving the State House of Assembly Committee on Housing who called on him in his office for a working visit.
He appreciated the committee’s oversight role and pledged to work closely with the legislature to advance housing development in the state.
He therefore, described the visit as timely and it would certainly foster working synergy and collaboration with the legislature and applaud Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his support and keen interest in the housing sector, he added.
Earlier, in his address The Chairman House of Assembly Committee on Housing, who is also a Member representing Kumbotso Constituency at the State Assembly, Hon. Mudassir Ibrahim Zawaciki alongside other Honourable Members of the committee, said the visit was part of their legislative mandate and is aimed to enhance collaboration and oversight between the legislative and executive arms of government in the housing sector.
Hon. Mudassir further explained that the committee sought to familiarize itself with the corporation’s operations, challenges, and initiatives to improve housing delivery in Kano State.
He pointed out the Key discussions which includes ongoing projects, policy implementation, and strategies for addressing housing challenges if any and the committee expressed commitment to supporting the corporation’s efforts to provide affordable housing for Kano residents.
Similarly, other members of the committee expressed their view points and commended the generosity and warm reception accorded to them by the management of the Corporation.
