To strengthen antenatal care and improve health services in the state, Kirikasamma Local Government, in collaboration with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), has donated hospital equipment and essential supplies to primary healthcare facilities in the area.
The Primary Healthcare Coordinator, Kabiru Musa, explained that the items, which include delivery beds, bed sheets, medical kits, pillows, and other essentials, will be distributed across health posts in Kirikasamma Local Government Area.
He noted that the support from the council and UNICEF will go a long way in enhancing healthcare delivery in the community.
During the official handover of the items, the Chairman of Kirikasamma Local Government Council, Hon. Muhammad Maji Wakili Marma, urged health workers to ensure transparency and accountability in the distribution process.
He also commended Governor Umar Namadi and development partners for their efforts in rehabilitating health posts and constructing midwives’ quarters in Kirikasamma and other parts of the state, aimed at improving access to quality healthcare services.
