The All-Progressives Congress (APC), Kebbi state has inaugurated the state Caretaker Committees to steer the affairs of the party at all levels pending election of new executives.
The Chief Magistrate of Birnin Kebbi Magistrate Court 1, Sama’ila Kakale. Mungadi, performed the ceremony at the presidential banquet hall, in Birnin Kebbi, Saturday.
Addressing the committees, stakeholders at the event, Chairman of the State Caretaker Committee, Alhaji Bala Sanni Kangiwa said the whole structure of the party was dissolved in the country following the resolution of the National Executive Committee (NEC), recently in Abuja.
Kangiwa explained that the development necessitated the formation of caretaker committees to steer the affairs of the party pending the election of new executives.
According to him, “those inaugurated are: the 17 Caretaker Members Working Committee of the party, also inaugurated were 19 Non – Working Committee and 21 Local Government Areas Chairmen of Working Committee of the party”, adding that the party will arrange how to swear in all the 225 wards’ Chairmen next week.
Kangiwa expressed his optimism that APC would work together to ensure that the party continue to grow stronger across the country, especially in Kebbi state, he added.
Speaking shortly after the inauguration, Governor Atiku Bagudu represented by the Secretary to the state Government, Alhaji Babale Umar Yauri thanked the party for their support and cooperation to his administration.
He then urged all party leaders and supporters to continue to maintain unity and work hard to ensure the party grow stronger.
