The African Democratic Congress (ADC), Kebbi State Chapter, has strongly condemned the recent killing of police officers and civilians by armed attackers in Zogirma village, Bunza Local Government Area, describing the assault as “gruesome and unacceptable.”
In a statement issued by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Abubakar Atiku, the ADC expressed heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families and the entire Zogirma community.
The party criticized the Kebbi State Government for what it called a lack of urgency and empathy, claiming that while citizens live in fear and cry out for protection, political leaders are busy holding parties and plotting for the 2027 elections.
“The ADC strongly condemns this culture of neglect, indifference, and insensitivity towards the lives and welfare of ordinary citizens.
“This tragic event further proves that many in leadership have forgotten their core responsibility to protect lives and improve the well-being of the people,” the statement read
The party urged the state government to act immediately to restore law and order in Zogirma and other vulnerable communities, calling for the compensation of victims’ families and the deployment of serious security measures to prevent further bloodshed.
“The lives of our citizens must come first, above all political interests,” the statement concluded.
