Katsina: Police Record 123 Crime Cases, Arrest 63 Suspects in November

The Katsina State Police Command says it recorded 123 criminal cases and arrested 63 suspects across five major crime categories in November 2025.

The Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Abubakar Sadiq, disclosed this on Wednesday while presenting the monthly security review at the command headquarters on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, CP Bello Shehu.

According to him, the arrests were made for offences including armed robbery, homicide, rape, possession of illicit drugs and counterfeit currency.

He said 22 suspects were arrested for armed robbery, seven for homicide, four for possessing counterfeit currency, 20 for rape and related offences, and 10 for illicit drugs.

Out of the 123 reported cases, 108 have been charged to court, while 15 remain under investigation.

Recovered items include three AK-47 rifles, 207 rounds of live ammunition, four vehicles, and 32 suspected rustled animals comprising 23 cows and nine sheep. Other exhibits recovered were 212,100 Exol tablets, 3,720 tablets of tramadol, dried leaves suspected to be cannabis, and 50 meters of vandalised high-tension cables.

Sadiq said the command will sustain its operations and called on residents to continue providing credible information to aid crime prevention and investigation.
