The Kano Road and Traffic Agency (KAROTA) has pledged to train members of the CNG tricycle commercial operators’ association, popularly known as NATOROMOS, on the effective management of CNG tricycles.
Managing Director of KAROTA, Hon. Faisal Mahmoud, made the commitment when the association’s leadership, led by Muhammad Yau Kofar Nassarawa, paid him a courtesy visit.
He commended the association for securing 50 CNG tricycles to boost the existing fleet in the state, describing the move as a step in the right direction despite the state’s large population. Mahmoud urged beneficiaries to put the tricycles to optimal use and assured them of a special training session to enhance their operations.
Earlier, the association’s Chairman, Muhammad Sani Hassan, represented by Muhammad Yau, explained that the 50 tricycles were secured from the Federal Government on a hire-purchase basis and called for KAROTA’s continued support in managing the fleet.
The visit ended with appreciation to KAROTA for its sustained cooperation with the association.
