Kano Pilgrims Board Screens, Immunizes 1,253 Intending Pilgrims

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has completed the medical screening and immunization of 1,253 intending pilgrims as part of preparations for this year’s Hajj exercise.

The screening, conducted at the Hajj Camp Clinic, involved pilgrims drawn from 20 Local Government Areas across the state. The exercise is aimed at ensuring that all intending pilgrims are medically fit and properly immunized in line with national and international health requirements for Hajj operations.

Speaking after the exercise, the leader of the medical team, Dr Aminu Da’u, confirmed the successful completion of the process for the 1,253 pilgrims.

He stressed the importance of medical screening and immunization in safeguarding the health and well-being of pilgrims throughout the pilgrimage.

Dr Da’u added that the exercise is being conducted in phases to accommodate all registered intending pilgrims across the state.

He assured the public that qualified healthcare professionals are handling the process with utmost care and professionalism.

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board reiterated its commitment to ensuring a smooth and hitch-free Hajj operation, prioritizing the health, safety, and welfare of all intending pilgrims.

The medical screening and immunization exercise will continue for the remaining pilgrims as scheduled.
