The Director-General (DG) of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, has called on ad-hoc staff to uphold integrity and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
He made this appeal on Wednesday at the Conference Hall of Meena Event Center during the inauguration of various ad-hoc committees for the 2026 Hajj operations.
Alhaji Abubakar Matawalle emphasized that the assignment given to the staff is a sacred trust bestowed upon them by His Excellency, the Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, to ensure effective service delivery to pilgrims.
He therefore urged all committee members to demonstrate honesty, dedication, and a strong sense of responsibility in carrying out their assignments.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Alhaji Yusuf Lawan, expressed appreciation to His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, for approving the nomination of staff selected to serve on the various committees.
Alhaji Yusuf Lawan also wished the committee members success and prayed for Allah’s guidance and strength to enable them to effectively carry out the responsibilities entrusted to them.
The inaugurated committees include the Media Committee, led by Mustapha Muhammed, the Medical Committee, led by Dr. Ibrahim Musa Idris, the Committee of Preachers, led by Sheikh Tijjani Sani Maihula, and the Hajj Tribunal Committee, led by Ibrahim Haruna Khalil.
Others are the Environment Committee, led by Dr. Mahmud Abba, the Social Media Committee, led by Ishak Abdul, the Hisbah Committee, led by Malam Mujahideen Aminuddeen, and the Security Committee, led by A.U. Umar
