Following the directive of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and after due consultations on the approved 2026 Hajj fares, the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced a new fare of N7,696,769.76 for all intending pilgrims from the state.
The Director General of the Board, Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, confirmed the approved amount, noting that the adjustment reflects NAHCON’s nationwide downward review aimed at easing the financial burden on pilgrims.
He explained that pilgrims who had earlier deposited N8,500,000.00 will receive a refund of N803,230.24, while those who paid N8,244,813.67 will get a refund of N548,043.91.
Danbappa further stated that intending pilgrims making fresh payments are required to pay the full approved amount of N7,696,769.76.
He announced that the payment deadline is December 5, 2025, in line with NAHCON’s directive, and urged all intending pilgrims to complete their payments before the deadline to secure their Hajj slots.
