Kano: Nassarawa LG Sponsors 21 Students to Nursing School in Jigawa

Nassarawa Local Government Area of Kano State has sponsored over 21 students to study at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Kazaure, Jigawa State, covering all educational expenses worth millions of naira, from admission to graduation.

The Council Information Officer, Sharif Zahraddeen Usman Kofar Nassarawa, in a statement on Sunday, said the Chairman of the council, Ambassador Hon. Yusuf Shuaibu Imam Ogan Boye, announced a farewell ceremony held for the departing students.

He urged the beneficiaries to remain focused and committed to their studies, reminding them that the local government’s investment in their education was a collective effort aimed at building the community’s future.

“The Nassarawa Local Government has spent millions of naira to support your education so that you can acquire quality knowledge.

“I urge you to be good ambassadors of our community wherever you go,” he said.

Also speaking, the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Ado Muhammad Hotoro (Mai Kaba), appealed to parents to monitor their children’s progress and ensure they maintain good conduct while representing the local government.

He explained that the students’ academic performance would be reviewed every six months, adding that continued sponsorship would depend on their level of dedication and seriousness.

He further encouraged parents to motivate their children to study hard and make the local government proud.
