The Committee set up by the Kano State Government on the Revival of the Kano Line transport services has embarked on the fact-finding tour of motor parks in the Metropolis.
The Acting Managing Director of the Company who is also the Chairman of the Committee, Sa’idu Abdullahi Shu’aibu disclosed this shortly after he led other members of the committee on a visit to Kofar Ruwa, Kurna and Rijiyar Zaki Motor Parks.
Shu’aibu who expressed concern about the lack of basic facilities for the Kano Line staff to operate in the motor parks visited assured that the Committee would liaise with other business partners for a proper solution.
The Acting Managing Director expressed dismay at the lack of toilets and office accommodation for Kano Line staff as well as the filthy environment under which they operate.
He therefore assured that the Committee would continue to work day and night for the revival of the transportation company as desired by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
The Acting Managing Director therefore appealed to Kano Line staff to continue to cooperate with the committee to enable it to discharge its duties successfully.
In another development, Shu’aibu the Committee members visited the residence of the late Managing Director of the Kano State Refuse Management and Sanitation Board (REMASAB), Amadu Haruna Zago, to condole the family over the decease of the renowned Politician.
