The Hon. Commissioner of Information and Internal Affairs in Kano, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, deserves commendation for his prompt response to the needs of Kano citizens. The Kano state government’s approach and openness to advice on urgent matters are also worthy of praise.
Additionally, Comrade Salisu Gambo Detol has done a great job in drawing the attention of the Kano state government on radio to pressing issues, particularly concerning NGOs in Kano. The need for a regulatory board to oversee civil society organizations is increasingly important, given the serious allegations circulating on social media about international donor funding terrorist Group like Boko Haram and those Civi Society suspecting on working to promote LGBT practices in kano as captured in Radio program of Comrade Salisu Gambo Detol, which go against the ethics, culture, and religion of the people of Kano state.
It’s reassuring to see the Kano state government taking proactive steps to address these concerns, and the introduction of regulatory measures to profile international donor organizations and NGOs is a welcome development. This move will help ensure, more security, safety and adherence to the rule of law in Kano state.
