To promote transparency and accountability in governance, Kano State Government has directed political appointees recently appointed to immediately declare their assets with the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).
The directive was given by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Faruk Ibrahim, on Saturday at the ongoing Special Capacity Building for top government functionaries holding in Kaduna.
He said that the move is aimed at ensuring that public officials are transparent about their financial dealings and assets, thereby preventing potential conflicts of interest and promoting good governance.
” All the political appointees recently appointed by Kano State Government are directed to immediately declare their assets with the Code of Conduct Bureau,” said the SSG
He maintained that by assets declaration, political appointees demonstrate their commitment to upholding the principles of good governance and ensuring that their actions are guided by public interest.
