Kano State Civil Service Commission (CSC) has approved the promotion of staff across various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) in the state, as part of its commitment to rewarding hard work, ensuring career progression, and improving service delivery.
Between May and July 2025, a total of 193 senior staff and 23 junior staff were promoted following due process. In addition, six (6) cases of conversion and change of cadre were approved during the same period.
At its plenary session held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, the Commission also deliberated on 92 staff cases, which included 80 cases of transfer of service, 10 cases of conversion/change of cadre, and 2 disciplinary cases.
The Commission also approved 30 cases of transfer of service from various MDAs, while appropriate decisions were taken on all other matters in accordance with civil service rules and regulations.
The Chairperson of the Commission, Ladidi Ibrahim Garko, reaffirmed the Commission’s resolve to uphold transparency, fairness, and meritocracy in all personnel matters.
She emphasized that these approvals reflect the Commission’s continuous effort to enhance workforce efficiency and morale across the state public service.
Hajiya Ladidi Garko urged the beneficiaries to justify the government’s confidence in their abilities by demonstrating greater commitment, efficiency, and professionalism in their respective roles.
She emphasized that promotions come with increased responsibilities and called on the promoted officers to contribute more effectively to the development of Kano State.
The Chairperson also urges all civil servants to remain dedicated, disciplined, and committed to excellence in their respective roles.
