Kano Assembly Committee Chairman Inspects Development Projects in Tarauni LGA

The Chairman, Kano State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government Affairs and Member representing Bebeji Constituency, Muhammad Tiga Bebeji, has led a delegation on an inspection visit to Tarauni Local Government Area to assess the progress of ongoing development projects recently approved by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

During the visit, the committee inspected several projects including the renovation of the Tarauni Local Government Secretariat Building, rehabilitation of the Alu Village Primary Health Care Centre, renovation of the Gyadi-Gyadi Police Station, and the construction of toilets at Gyadi-Gyadi South Primary School.

Speaking after the inspection, Muhammad Tiga expressed satisfaction with the quality and pace of work on the projects.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the Kano State Government to ensuring that communities at the grassroots continue to benefit directly from its developmental programmes and policies.

The lawmaker commended the efforts of local government chairmen across the state for ensuring that approved projects are implemented effectively and in line with established standards.

He also assured that the Kano State House of Assembly will continue to monitor and supervise public projects to promote transparency, fairness, and quality service delivery.

In his remarks, the Chairman of Tarauni Local Government, Ahmed Ibrahim Muhammad Sekure, expressed appreciation for the committee’s visit and encouragement.

He was joined by the Personnel Management Officer, Tijjani Madaki Gulya, and the Acting Head of Works Department, Musa Lawan Gulu, who both pledged continued commitment to the successful completion of all ongoing projects in the area.

Muhammad Tiga was accompanied on the visit by several House members, including Hon. Lawan Husaini Chediyar ‘Yan Gurasa (Dala Constituency), Hon. Murtala Musa Kore (Danbatta Constituency), Hon. Abubakar Dalladi (Gaya Constituency), and Hon. Ali Manaja (Wudil Constituency).

The visit, according to the Information Officer of Tarauni Local Government, Adamu Iliyasu Hotoro, underscores the Assembly’s resolve to strengthen oversight functions and ensure effective grassroots development across all 44 local government areas of the state.
