The Chairman of Malam Madori Local Government Area of Jigawa State, Hon. Salisu Sani Garin Gabas, has appointed 30 Special Advisers and Special Assistants to strengthen governance and political administration in the council area.
The letters of appointment were presented to the appointees on Tuesday by the chairman, shortly after the swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed Local Government Secretary.
Addressing the new appointees, Hon. Garin Gabas charged them to go beyond their official duties and contribute meaningfully to the development of Malam Madori Local Government and the growth of the ruling party.
In a related development, the oath of office was administered to the new Local Government Secretary, Muhammad Nagaru, by Justice Sadisu Musa of the Magistrate Court in Hadejia.
Speaking at the event, former Commissioner, Barrister Yusuf Alhaji Mato, commended the Jigawa State Governor for appointing a capable and loyal party member as Secretary, noting that the appointee had served and supported the party for over a decade.
The council chairman reiterated his call on the newly appointed Special Advisers and Assistants to redouble their efforts toward the overall development of the local government and the party.
He also pledged to work closely with the new Secretary to ensure progress and effective service delivery.
In his vote of thanks, the newly sworn-in Local Government Secretary, Muhammad Nagaru, pledged to work diligently to move the local government forward.
