A heavy downpour in Kirikasamma Local Government Area and its outskirts has left one person dead and seven others injured following the collapse of a building in Kabak village.
The incident occurred around midnight on Friday.
According to the Information Officer of Kirikasamma Local Government Council, Musa Muhammad Hadejia, five of the victims are currently receiving treatment in the hospital, while two others have been discharged after medical care.
Council Chairman, Hon. Muhammad Maji Wakili Marma, has paid a condolence and sympathy visit to the affected families.
During the visit, he announced a donation of N500,000 to cover the medical expenses of the injured and an additional N100,000 to support the family of the deceased.
