In a move to improve healthcare access and support Governor Umar Namadi’s 12-point agenda on good governance, the Chairman of Birniwa Local Government Area, Honourable Shehu Baba, has renovated the ‘Haihuwa Lafiya’ health transport vehicle to ease patient evacuation from rural communities to nearby urban hospitals.

Speaking to newsmen on Monday in Birniwa, Shehu Baba explained that the initiative aims to reduce the transportation challenges faced by rural residents in accessing urgent medical care.

He urged community members to use the vehicle strictly for its intended purpose and avoid diverting it for other uses.

Reacting to the development, the Primary Healthcare Coordinator of Birniwa, Musa Abdullahi Diladige, commended the council chairman for prioritizing healthcare service delivery.

He noted that the renovated vehicle, which belongs to Kachallari Ward, will enhance referral services and help pregnant women and nursing mothers reach urban hospitals more easily during emergencies.

In a joint message of appreciation, the Village Head of Kachallari Ward, Kanta Musa, and the councillor representing the area, Jamilu Abdullahi, thanked the chairman for responding to the people’s needs and supporting their access to Governor Namadi’s good governance initiatives.
