The Inter-Tribe Community Support Forum heartily applauds Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his outstanding commitment to good governance, transformative education reforms, and maintaining peace and harmony in the state.
Since assuming office on 29 May 2023, Governor Yusuf has shown what true leadership looks like: bold, people-centered, and results-driven. This has earned him notable national and continental recognitions, including:

One of the most commendable strides of his administration is in the education sector.
Through the Kano State Education Scholarship Program and the declaration of a state of emergency in education, Governor Yusuf has ensured that thousands of underprivileged students can dream again.
Allocating 31% of the state’s budget to education well above the UNESCO benchmark clearly reflects his resolve to secure the future of Kano’s youth.
In healthcare, the reopening of Hasiya Bayero Pediatric Hospital and the upgrade of rural health facilities are restoring hope and improving lives across the state.
The Forum also commends the peaceful atmosphere currently enjoyed in Kano State. In a time when other regions face recurring conflicts, Kano has remained a symbol of ethnic and religious harmony a direct result of inclusive governance and deliberate peacebuilding efforts.
As a forum committed to inter-community cooperation and support, we urge Governor Yusuf to extend his impactful infrastructure projects, particularly the ongoing road renovation efforts, to underserved areas like Sabon Gari, a densely populated and diverse part of Kano.
The area has long needed government intervention, and such a move will further strengthen unity and inclusiveness under his administration.
We believe that with continued vision and compassion, Governor Yusuf will lead Kano to greater heights of progress and prosperity.
