The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has received the Managing Director of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN), Mr. Shehu Usman Osidi, and his delegation on a courtesy visit to the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Force spokesperson, in a statement on Wednesday, said during the visit, Mr. Osidi expressed appreciation to the IGP for the warm reception, describing the Nigeria Police Force as one of the Bank’s most strategic institutional partners.

According to the statement, Mr. Osidi commended the Force for its cooperation over the years and called for deeper collaboration to ensure that police personnel can access housing benefits and mortgage facilities seamlessly, without administrative delays or disputes.

Responding, IGP Egbetokun described the visit as timely and a significant step toward strengthening the partnership between the Nigeria Police Force and the FMBN.

He noted that such institutional collaboration is crucial to achieving the Force’s goal of providing sustainable and affordable housing solutions for its workforce.

The IGP reaffirmed that the welfare of police personnel remains a top priority under his leadership, stressing that access to decent and affordable housing is key to boosting the morale of officers who risk their lives daily in service to the nation.

He assured the FMBN of the Force’s continued commitment to strategic partnerships that promote the dignity, welfare, and long-term well-being of police officers, both during and after their years of service to the country.
