The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has charged newly posted Commissioners of Police to exhibit professionalism, integrity, and quality leadership in their new roles.
This comes as the Nigeria Police Force announces new postings to various state commands and formations, effective immediately.
ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force spokesperson, in a statement on Saturday, said the deployment is part of the IGP’s strategic vision to enhance operational effectiveness and reinforce professional leadership across critical areas of policing in the country.
The newly appointed Commissioners of Police are as follows:
CP Naziru D. Abdulmajid – Borno State Command
CP Bello Rasheed Afegbua – Cross River State Command
CP Dahiru Mohammed – Jigawa State Command
CP Adebowale Lawal – Ondo State Command
CP Ibrahim Gotan – Osun State Command
CP Eloho Edwin Okpoziakpo – Department of Training and Development, Force Headquarters
CP Olusegun Eyitayo Omosayin – FCID Annex, Gombe State (CP General Investigation)
These strategic deployments are aimed at leveraging the extensive experience of the senior officers to strengthen policing efforts and ensure the safety and security of citizens within their respective jurisdictions.
The IGP reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force’s unwavering commitment to a safer and more secure nation.
He also called on citizens to continue partnering with the police through information sharing and collaboration in the fight against crime and criminality.
