Nollywood actor Ayoola Ayolola, who starred in the SGIT series, has shared the reasons for his decision to pursue acting.
Ayolola said that he had always known he could act when discussing how he became the actor that his fans have come to know in an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo.
He claimed that although he was aware of his acting ability, he didn’t pursue it until he was penniless and unable to support himself.
“I always thought I could act,” he remarked. I thought of myself as an actor as well as a theatrical performer. I’ve always known that, come hell or high water, I would still walk onto the stage and perform. The reality of my actions gave me the courage to try acting. But the decision didn’t come until I was so broke and so hungry.”
I was physically hungry for days and couldn’t afford anything, so I wasn’t hungry for achievement, he stated. “I was taking out loans to pay for this and that right here and there. That was disorganized. I had my winning automobile, leverage, and other things, but I lacked liquid cash. At the time, I lacked the intelligence to turn the possessions I had into a financially sustainable situation. I was therefore hungry, broke, and bored,” he said to Chude.
