In a heartfelt statement issued on Monday, the Technical Adviser on Community Inclusion and Girl-Child Development to the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities, Alhassan Mohammed Baba, expressed deep sadness over the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Hon. Baba described the late President as not just a national leader but a father figure whose life reflected sacrifice, humility, and unwavering love for Nigeria.

“President Buhari was more than a leader; he was a symbol of dedication and patriotism.

“He led with simplicity and conviction, always believing in the strength of unity and the power of service. His legacy will continue to guide us, long after his departure,” Hon. Baba said.

He recalled President Buhari’s special concern for the vulnerable, especially in his drive to expand educational opportunities for children and girls in northern Nigeria.

Hon. Baba noted that the late President’s quiet but firm support for community development and girl-child education shaped many interventions that continue to impact lives today.

“His contributions to our nation’s growth, his push for peace, his emphasis on integrity, and his lifelong commitment to national unity are things history will remember him for,” he added.

As the nation mourns, Hon. Baba extended his heartfelt condolences to the Buhari family, the Federal Government, and all Nigerians grieving this monumental loss.

“I pray Almighty Allah, in His infinite mercy, grants Baba Buhari Aljannatul Firdaus, and grants his family and the entire nation the strength to bear this loss,” he said.

Hon. Baba pledged to continue drawing inspiration from President Buhari’s life of service, especially in advancing community and girl-child education across the country, a vision the late leader stood for.
