HAJJ 2025: Kano Hajj Delegation Committee Attends NAHCON Stakeholders’ Pre-Hajj Meeting

The Kano State Hajj Delegation Committee on Monday participated in the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) Stakeholders’ Pre-Hajj Meeting held in Kakiya, Makkah.

The meeting forms part of NAHCON’s annual strategic planning efforts for a smooth, safe, and spiritually fulfilling Hajj operation for Nigerian pilgrims.

This crucial meeting focused on final preparations for key pilgrimage activities, particularly the organization and coordination of the Mina and Arafat rites, two of the most significant components of the Hajj pilgrimage.

Stakeholders from across the Nigerian Hajj operation spectrum, including state pilgrim welfare boards, service providers, and logistics coordinators, were in attendance.

The sessions provided a platform to harmonize logistics, review contingency plans, and ensure that pilgrims receive the best possible support throughout their spiritual journey.

Speaking after the meeting, the Secretary of the Kano State Hajj Delegation Committee, Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, appreciated NAHCON for its proactive coordination efforts.

He reaffirmed Kano State’s unwavering commitment to the welfare and safety of its pilgrims.

Alhaji Danbappa also noted that the Kano State Hajj Delegation will continue to collaborate closely with all relevant stakeholders to guarantee a seamless and spiritually enriching experience for its pilgrims during Hajj 2025.

The meeting was attended by the Head of the Kano State Hajj Delegation Committee, His Royal Highness Muhammad Maharaz; Yusif Lawan, Member (Chairman of the Board); the Honourable Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Sheikh Tijjani Auwal; the Honourable Chairman of the House Committee on Hajj, Sarki Aliyu Daneji; Sheikh Isma’il Ilyasu Mangu; and the Director of Hajj Operations, Alhaji Muhammad Ghali Muhammad, among others.
