Greek Organization Launches Free Medical Outreach in Five LGAs in Niger

A philanthropic organization from Greece, The Heart Doctors, is set to provide free medical services across five local government areas in Niger State.

The leader of the delegation, Mrs. Eleni Sotirou, disclosed on Thursday during a courtesy visit to Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago at the state liaison office in Abuja. She said the 10-day outreach will cover Shiroro, Munya, Agaie, Paikoro, and Chanchaga LGAs.

Mrs. Sotirou commended Governor Bago’s achievements in healthcare and other sectors, including the ongoing construction of an IDP camp in Shiroro, the revitalization of the IBB Specialist Hospital, and improvements in primary healthcare facilities.

She also praised his hospitality and consistent support for their humanitarian missions.

In his response, Governor Bago thanked The Heart Doctors team for their sustained contributions to healthcare delivery, describing their intervention as a valuable partnership aligned with his administration’s vision for a healthier population.

The visiting delegation also included Dr. John Sotirou, Mr. Pantelis Ypsilantis, Mrs. Mairi Ypsilantis, Mrs. Mairi Giataganas, Mr. George Giataganas, alongside the organization’s Niger State coordinators, Dr. Mustapha Jibril Alheri and Adams Mustapha.
