Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has mourned the death of famous Kannywood actor, Abdullahi Shuaibu popularly known as Karkuzu who passed on after a protracted illness at 94 years a few days ago.
The Governor’s Spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, in a statement on Friday, quoted Governor Yusuf saying: “Karkuzu’s death has robbed the industry of a talented actor who was committed to his craft and moulded many growing players in the industry who are now forced to reckon with.”
Yusuf maintained that the deceased has left a wide void difficult to fill as during his acting days, he demonstrated a variety of skills and unrelenting effort of transformation in between comedic and serious roles with passion.
Governor Yusuf on behalf of the Government and people of Kano State, extends deepest and heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased, Kannywood members, and the film industry.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant his gentle soul eternal rest and Jannatul Firdausi be his final abode.
