Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has officially launched the All Progressives Congress (APC) electronic registration (e-registration) exercise in Kano State, marking a significant step towards strengthening the party’s internal democracy and expanding its membership base.
According to a statement signed on Tuesday by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa on Tuesday, the flag off the exercise on Monday at the Coronation Hall, Government House Kano.
The statement added that the e-registration commenced shortly after rejoining the party, in the company of eight members of the House of Representatives, twenty-one members of the Kano State House of Assembly and members of the State Executive Council.
Governor Yusuf described the initiative as a transparent, inclusive and technology-driven process designed to modernize party administration and ensure credible membership records.
He noted that the e-registration exercise would enhance efficiency, eliminate duplication and provide an accurate database that reflects the true strength of the party across wards, local government areas and the state at large.
The Governor urged party members, supporters and prospective members to participate actively in the exercise to ensure its overall success.
He commended the APC leadership at the national, state and local levels for deploying digital tools to improve party operations and called for strict adherence to the guidelines to guarantee a smooth and credible process.
The e-registration exercise is expected to be conducted across all wards in the state, providing members with a seamless platform to register, update their details and reaffirm their membership in the party.
