Governor Yusuf Hailed as Compassionate, Fair Leader

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has been praised for his compassionate leadership and commitment to justice and fairness in governance.

The commendation came from the state’s Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, on Wednesday during a meeting with members of the Forum of Senior Special Assistants (SSAs), Special Assistants (SAs), and Personal Assistants (PAs) who served under the previous administration.

Comrade Waiya described Governor Yusuf as a leader driven by faith, compassion, and a deep sense of justice, particularly in ensuring that all individuals receive their rightful entitlements, regardless of political affiliation.

He pointed to the recent payment of severance benefits to former councillors from the administration of former Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje as evidence of Governor Yusuf’s inclusive and unbiased approach.

“These payments were made not as political rewards but as a matter of fairness and justice,” Waiya emphasized.

He assured members of the forum that Governor Yusuf remains committed to addressing all legitimate claims by principles of equity, not as incentives for political loyalty or defection.

Earlier, the Chairman of the SSA, SA, and PA Forum, Gidado Ahmad Satatima, thanked the Governor for his inclusive leadership and formally appealed for the payment of their severance benefits, similar to what was extended to the former councillors.

Gidado also lauded Governor Yusuf’s fairness, noting that, unlike the administration that appointed them but failed to settle their entitlements, the current government has shown greater integrity by treating all citizens equally, regardless of their political background.
