Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed deep gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for personally visiting Kano to condole with the family of the late elder statesman and business mogul, Aminu Alhassan Dantata.

In a statement issued on Friday by his spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Yusuf described the President’s visit as a significant act of empathy and leadership that brought comfort to both the bereaved family and the people of Kano.

He also acknowledged the President’s swift response following Dantata’s passing, including the deployment of a federal delegation to the burial in Madina, Saudi Arabia, and his diplomatic interventions that ensured a smooth and dignified funeral.

“The entire process was managed with exceptional dignity and efficiency, made possible by Your Excellency’s support.

“Your presence here, despite your tight schedule, speaks volumes of your leadership, compassion, and respect,” the Governor stated.

During the visit, Tajudeen Aminu Dantata, eldest son of the deceased, also thanked the President for his support, both during his father’s life and after his passing.

He praised President Tinubu’s close relationship with the late Dantata and pledged the family’s commitment to upholding his legacy of humility, service, and generosity.

In his tribute, President Tinubu described the late Dantata as “a symbol of integrity, humility, and service to humanity.”

“We have lost a conscience of the nation,” the President said. “May Allah, in His infinite mercy, grant him Aljannah Firdaus.”
