Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has appreciated the Federal Government (FG) over the ongoing projects of the North West Development Commission (NWDC) in Kano and other States in the Northwest.
He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the interventions in the northwestern states through the NWDC.
A statement issued by Mustapha Muhammad, the Governor’s spokesperson, said the commendation was made during a courtesy call paid on Governor Yusuf by the State Minister for Regional Development, Uba Maigari Ahmad. The NWDC will surely continue to touch the lives of people in the region.
“We have seen several developments and interventions in the region; we have to thank Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President, for this development,” he said.
Earlier on, the State Minister for Regional Development, Ahmad, thanked the Governor for all the contributions and support to the Commission.
He made mention of the State Government’s allocation of 2 hectares of land for the permanent site of the Commission, and number of vehicles donated to the NWDC.
He said the Commission will be with the government to ensure the interventions reach the people and where it is meant for.
“You have done a lot for us, too numerous to mention,” he said.
