In a ceremony highlighting national recognition for the administration of Governor
Umar A. Namadi, was on Saturday conferred with an Honorary Doctorate Degree by the prestigious Federal University Otuoke in Bayelsa State.
The honour was bestowed during the University’s Combined Convocation Lecture, attended by eminent scholars, university administrators, and a host of dignitaries.
The institution’s Governing Council cited Governor Namadi’s unwavering commitment to purposeful leadership, prudent governance, and sustainable development as the foundation for the award.
A statement released by the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Media Affairs, Zainab Shuaibu Rabo, on behalf of the Governor’s media team, described the recognition as a testament to Namadi’s visionary contributions to public service.
The statement noted that the award reflects his “integrity and a deliberate focus on improving human capital, strengthening institutions, and expanding socio-economic opportunities across Jigawa State.”
The ceremony underscored how the Governor’s impact has transcended the borders of Jigawa State, resonating within national discourses on effective governance.
