Governor Fintiri Announces New Emirs, Chiefs in Adamawa

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri has approved the selection of 7 new chiefs and Emirs for the newly created Chiefdoms and Emirates in the state.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Humwashi Wonosikou, which was made available to LEADERSHIP listed the new emirs as HRH Alhaji Sani Ahmadu Ribadu, Emir of Fufore; HRH Barrister Alheri B. Nyako, Tol Huba; and HRH Prof. Bulus Luka Gadiga, Mbege Ka Michika.

Others are HRH Dr Ali Danburam, Ptil Madagali; HRH Aggrey Ali, Kumu of Gombi; HRH Ahmadu Saibaru, Emir of Maiha, and HRH John Dio, Gubo Yungur.

The governor congratulated the new monarchs, emphasising that their selections were based on merit and their popularity among the people.

He urged them to be fair, honest, and responsible in their duties.

The approval takes effect immediately.
