On Monday, at approximately 14:53 hours, the Kano State Fire Service Control Room received a distress call from Jamilu Abubakar reporting a fire outbreak in Kabo Local Government Area.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday by Fire Service spokesperson, ACFO Saminu Yusif Abdullahi, Firefighters from the Rijiyar Zaki station were immediately dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, they found a ground-floor building measuring about 500 by 500 feet, used as an Animal Health School, engulfed in flames.

The fire affected 34 classrooms in total, with 16 classrooms completely alight and 18 classrooms partially affected.

Thanks to prompt intervention by the fire service, the blaze was successfully contained, preventing it from spreading to other classrooms and offices.
