The Federal Government has called on Nigerian youths to embrace automotive innovation as part of efforts to drive national development and transform the country’s mobility and technology sectors.
Speaking in Ibadan at the Youth Empowerment through Automotive Innovation 2025 Conference, Special Assistant to the President on Youth Initiative (Monitoring and Delivery), Dr. Titilope Gbadamosi, said the initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s renewed commitment to youth development, skills advancement and the modernization of Nigeria’s automotive industry.
She noted that Nigeria is investing in mobility technology, clean energy transition and digital innovation to prepare young people for future opportunities.
“We are not only equipping young Nigerians with the knowledge needed for today’s jobs, we are preparing them to lead the automotive future of Africa and the world,” she said.
Director-General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Chief Joseph Osanipin, stressed the need for youths to keep pace with rapidly evolving automotive technologies, describing them as the “engine room” of national development.
He said youth-driven innovation across Africa is reshaping mobility and accelerating industrial growth.
