The Federal Government has unveiled the Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF) Guideline 2.0, a revised framework aimed at improving coordination, accountability, and healthcare delivery across Nigeria.
Speaking at the launch in Abuja, the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate, said the updated guideline prioritizes performance-based implementation and transparency in managing health funds.
Pate, who also chairs the BHCPF Ministerial Oversight Committee, announced the approval of N32.9 billion for disbursement across all implementation gateways under the fund.
He assured that every naira allocated through the BHCPF would be closely monitored to ensure effective utilization and measurable impact on healthcare services nationwide.
The unveiling took place during the 3rd Quarter 2025 Ministerial Oversight Committee Meeting of the Federal Ministry of Health on the BHCPF.
