The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has provided four telephone numbers for residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to report cases of uncleared refuse in their communities.
The move aims to address the growing waste management challenge in the FCT and ensure that waste management contractors fulfill their duties promptly.
In a brief statement issued on Tuesday, the Senior Special Assistant to the FCT Minister on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, urged residents to send pictures and videos of uncleared refuse to the designated phone numbers via WhatsApp.
He explained that residents should clearly indicate the location where the pictures or videos were taken to enable authorities to identify the contractors responsible for the affected areas.
The telephone numbers provided for reporting are 08038643087, 07011073406, 07011255710, and 09114843425.
