The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has approved the acquisition of Chivita|Hollandia (CHI Ltd.) by UAC of Nigeria Plc, completing a major transaction in the country’s food and beverage sector.

UAC confirmed the development in a statement to the Nigerian Exchange Ltd. on Saturday, noting that the deal had received full regulatory clearance.

The approval follows the July 30, 2025 announcement that both parties had reached an agreement for the sale of CHI Ltd., makers of popular Chivita juices and Hollandia dairy products.

CHI Ltd.’s Managing Director, Mr. Eelco Weber, expressed satisfaction with the approval, saying the company looks forward to a seamless transition under UAC’s ownership.

UAC’s Group Managing Director, Mr. Fola Aiyesimoju, described the acquisition as a key milestone that aligns with the company’s long-term growth strategy, adding that UAC will build on CHI’s strong brand heritage and market leadership.
