Comrade Emmanuel John has been re-elected as President of the Abuja Newspaper Distributors Association (ANDA) following a keenly contested election held on Thursday.
The election, organized by the association’s Independent Electoral Commission, saw Emmanuel secure 106 votes to defeat his challenger, Femi Emmanuel, who polled 60 votes.
In his victory speech, Emmanuel expressed gratitude to members for renewing his mandate and reaffirmed his commitment to serving the association with integrity. He pledged not to betray the trust placed in him and promised to continue working in the best interest of all members.
Dedicating his victory to God and the entire distribution community, he also extended a hand of friendship to his opponent, calling for unity within the association. Emmanuel’s new term will span two years.
