Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II, on Sunday, led the Eid prayer and sermon at the Kofar Mata Jumu’at mosque.
The choice of the Kofar Mata Jumu’at mosque for the Eid prayer was due to heavy rain that flooded the premises of the usual Eid ground.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and other cabinet members observed prayer with the Emir.
After the Eid prayer, Emir Sunusi conducted Sallah Durbar.
The event was held despite the Kano State Police command’s ban on Sallah Durbar following a joint security meeting in the State.
