As Muslims around the world commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago, has called on the faithful to strive to embody the virtues exemplified by the Holy Prophet.

In a statement issued through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, on the occasion of Eid-El-Maulud, the governor stressed that the celebration should serve not only as a time of festivity but also as a period of deep reflection.

He emphasized the significance of Eid-el-Maulud as an opportunity to reinforce spiritual renewal, unity, acts of charity, and devotion to Islamic principles.

Governor Bago described the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as a divine blessing to humanity, noting that his mission brought guidance and the revelation of the Holy Qur’an.

He highlighted the Prophet’s exemplary life of humility, compassion, kindness, sacrifice, integrity, justice, and unwavering commitment as qualities worthy of emulation.

While congratulating Muslims on the occasion, the governor urged them to renew their commitment to understanding and practicing Islamic teachings to promote peaceful coexistence across communities.

He further encouraged prayers for the President, as well as leaders in political, religious, and traditional spheres, seeking Allah’s wisdom, guidance, and protection for them to serve effectively.
