Eid-el-Kabir: Kano Peace Committee Congratulates Muslims, Calls For Calm, Peaceful Celebration

Editor

As the 2025 Eid El -Kabir Sallah festival starts from Friday, 6th June 2025, the entire members of the Kano Peace Committee (KPC) hereby heartily and joyfully congratulate all Muslim faithful ahead of the annual celebration.

As the name connotes, Kano Peace Committee appeals and urges all law-abiding residents to conduct themselves peacefully and be calm all through the Sallah festive seasons so as  to ensure peace and peaceful coexistence across the state.

The KPC particularly enjoins the youth not to allow themselves to be used as tools to perpetrate violence by any individual or evil groups within and outside the state.

Peace is everybody’s responsibility. We all must nurture it as part of our collective commitment to sustain the peace and security we have been enjoying in the state for quite a long time

We beseech all Muslims in the state to reflect on the teachings of Prophet Ibrahim, whose legacy resonates during the Eid el Kabir festival, of patience, dedication to spirituality and sacrifice.

We equally, encourage all believers to show sacrifice, devotion, and kindness, which are the values associated with the celebration and not violence.

KPC urges all Kano residents to pray for the continued unity and progress of Kano state and the country at large, because this period is not only a time for celebration but also a time to renew our faith and show support for the growth and development of Kano State and the nation at large

Happy Sallah Celebrations
