The Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, on Tuesday commissioned the newly constructed Kabo Police Division, marking a stride in strengthening security in the state.
In a statement, the Command’s spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, said the facility, which is expected to enhance policing services and improve community safety, was made possible through the support of the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau I. Jibrin.
Speaking at the Commissioning, CP Bakori lauded Senator Jibrin’s commitment to the security of lives and property, noting that his intervention was crucial in bringing the project to life.
He stressed that the new division would boost community policing, improve emergency response, and deepen trust between law enforcement and residents.

He further called on the people of Kabo to work hand in hand with the police to maximize the benefits of the new security facility.
After the event, CP Bakori proceeded to Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area, where he inspected the Dawakin Tofa Police Barracks.
The visit, he explained, was part of efforts to assess the welfare and readiness of officers.
He assured personnel that the Command remained committed to improving their living and working conditions.
The Kano State Police Command expressed appreciation to all stakeholders who contributed to advancing security in the state, describing the project as a demonstration of collective resolve to ensure peace and safety.
