Chidimma Adetshina, a model from South Africa, has accepted an offer to compete in the 2024 Miss Universe Nigeria competition.
After receiving racist taunts from certain South Africans, Miss Chidimma Adetshina withdrew from the beauty pageant.
Chidimma accepted the offer made to her by Silverbird TV creator Ben Bruce on his X handle on Wednesday, during the height of the racist backlash from South African supporters.
She praised Nigerians for their assistance throughout the difficult period. She went on to say that the Miss Nigeria organizers had given her an amazing chance.
“Hello everyone, my name is Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina, and I can’t think of this video without thanking the amazing people who have shown me their support,” she stated.
“I just received an invitation from the Miss Universe Nigeria Beauty Pageant organizers, Silver Bird Group. I am quite excited about this since I have made the decision to compete in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 All Beauty Pageant.
“I am thrilled to embark on this adventure now that I am aware of the duties and obligations that go along with this position. I would also like to express my gratitude for this chance and my excitement about competing in Miss Universe Nigeria, the most prominent beauty contest in Africa.
