The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has temporarily suspended access to its recruitment portal as part of measures to improve system efficiency and ensure a seamless application process.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, July 16, 2025, and signed by the Board Secretary, Maj Gen AM Jibril (rtd), the CDCFIB explained that the portal—https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng—will be inaccessible until Monday, July 21, 2025.
The board said the temporary closure will allow technical adjustments to better handle the large volume of applications, while also enhancing the transparency and fairness of the recruitment process.
“This decision was made to guarantee a smooth and transparent application experience for all candidates,” the statement read. “We remain committed to a credible process that reflects our core values of fairness and efficiency.”
The CDCFIB expressed appreciation for the interest shown by young Nigerians in serving the nation through its paramilitary agencies and assured applicants of a level playing field once the portal reopens.
The board is responsible for overseeing recruitment into key security and emergency response agencies, including the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Federal Fire Service, Nigeria Correctional Service, and Nigeria Immigration Service.
