Bobrisky Arrested at Border While Allegedly Fleeing to Benin Republic

News Desk

Popular Nigerian crossdresser, Okuneye Idris, widely known as Bobrisky, has reportedly been held by the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) at the Seme Border while attempting to flee to Benin Republic.

Bobrisky has been under scrutiny following a viral audio recording in which he bragged about not serving time in prison despite being sentenced.

In the audio, he also admitted to resolving a money laundering case after allegedly spending ₦15 million. This revelation was made by activist and vlogger Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, in a video shared on October 21, 2024.

According to the activist, Bobrisky was caught trying to escape ongoing investigations by the Nigerian House of Representatives. Reports claim Bobrisky had sent someone ahead to sign his international passport, hiding in a vehicle to evade detection.

VeryDarkMan, alongside his lawyer Deji Adeyanju, recently appeared before the House of Representatives to address the issue, but Bobrisky failed to show up, citing health concerns.

In his latest video, VeryDarkMan declared, “Bobrisky was arrested this morning at Seme Border Post on his way to escape to Benin Republic.” He further suggested that the NIS is holding the social media personality.
